These terms apply when you use nyxlet.com. They are written primarily for users in the United States; section 8 explains the extra rights consumers in the UK and EU have. 1. The service
Nyxlet offers tarot readings, astrology and BaZi (Chinese astrology) charts, relationship (match) readings and open conversation. Readings are written by an AI system and voiced by Nyxlet’s fictional characters. Chart calculations are produced by software from the details you enter.
2. For entertainment only
Tarot, astrology, BaZi and every other reading on Nyxlet are for entertainment and self-reflection only. They are not facts or predictions you should rely on. They do not constitute medical, legal, financial, psychological or any other professional advice.
- Don’t use Nyxlet to make decisions about your health, treatment, money, investments, legal matters or safety. Speak to a qualified professional instead.
- AI-generated replies can be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate, even when they sound confident.
- The characters are fictional. Some of them, such as Pip and Loaf, are written to be cheeky or blunt on purpose. Their remarks are jokes, not judgements about you.
- Nyxlet is not a crisis or support service. If you’re in danger or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) in the US, call 911 in an emergency, or contact your local emergency services.
3. Who can use Nyxlet
You must be 18 or over to use Nyxlet. By using it, you confirm that you are. If we find that a user is under 18, we may close their account and delete their data.
4. Your account
You can try parts of Nyxlet without an account. Other features, such as saving conversations, birth profiles, full three-card readings and subscriptions, require signing in with Google. You’re responsible for keeping your Google account secure and for activity under your Nyxlet account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
5. Free use and limits
- Visitors receive a trial of 2 successful AI replies per browser. A signed-in free account receives 8 welcome replies once and 2 daily replies. Clearing browser data can reset visitor identification; IP and rate controls also apply.
- Counting replies: one successfully completed AI reply uses one credit, including follow-up replies. Failed, interrupted or incomplete replies have their reserved credit returned. Recovery can be delayed during an outage. Drawing animations, fixed daily-card meanings and viewing history do not use AI credits.
- Daily limits reset at midnight UTC.
- Other limits: some features are limited for visitors. To keep the service fair and stable, we also apply short-term rate limits.
- Changes: we may change free limits at any time. The current limits are shown in the app.
6. Subscriptions and automatic renewal
Automatic renewal terms. Please read this section before you subscribe. It is provided under the US Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act, California’s Automatic Renewal Law (Business and Professions Code §17600 and following) and similar state laws.
- Your subscription renews automatically. Each paid plan is a monthly subscription. It continues, and we charge you, every month until you cancel.
- What you’ll be charged. We charge the monthly price of your plan, as shown on the plans page and at checkout, plus any applicable sales tax or VAT. The first charge is made when you subscribe. After that, you’re charged at the start of each new monthly billing period, on the same day of the month, using the payment method you gave.
- No minimum term. There’s no minimum commitment and no cancellation fee.
- How to cancel. You can cancel online at any time. Open your account menu, choose Manage subscription, and cancel on the billing page that opens. You can also email contact@zolynexstudio.com and we’ll cancel it for you. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep your plan until then and won’t be charged again.
- Your consent. Before you subscribe, we ask you to tick a box confirming that you’re 18 or over, that you agree to automatic monthly renewal, and that you understand our refund rules. You can’t subscribe without ticking it.
- Confirmation. After you subscribe, you’ll receive an email confirmation from our payment provider with your plan, price and billing details. These terms, including how to cancel, are always available at nyxlet.com/terms.
- Price changes. We’ll email you at least 30 days before a price change applies to your subscription, and explain how to cancel. If you don’t want to pay the new price, cancel before it takes effect.
- Plans: Plus is US$9.99 for 120 replies per monthly billing period; Pro is US$19.99 for 300. Taxes, where applicable, are shown at checkout. Paid accounts use their billing-period allowance instead of daily free replies. Unused subscription replies do not roll over. Existing legacy subscriptions retain their previous price and allowance until changed or cancelled.
- Extra replies: logged-in users may make a one-time purchase of 40 replies for US$4.99 or 100 for US$9.99. Purchased replies do not expire or renew automatically, remain available after cancellation, and are used after your current plan allowance and gift credits. They do not extend a subscription or unlock plan benefits. Refunds or payment disputes can reverse the corresponding purchased credits.
- Payment and merchant of record: purchases are processed through Stripe Managed Payments. The seller of record named at checkout and on your receipt sells the subscription to you and handles payment, sales tax or VAT, and invoicing. Its customer terms, shown at checkout, also apply to the purchase.
- Failed payments: if a renewal payment fails, it will be retried and your plan stays active while that happens. If payment still fails, your subscription may end and your account returns to the free plan.
- Changing plans: use Manage subscription. Any charge or credit for the rest of the billing period is calculated and shown to you before you confirm.
- Promotion codes apply only on the terms stated with them.
7. Cancelling and refunds
Our Refund Policy summarises this section.
- No refunds after a subscription starts. Your subscription gives you immediate access to paid features. Once a billing period has started, its payment is non-refundable, including any part of a period you don’t use and any unused messages. This applies except where the law requires otherwise; see section 8.
- Cancelling stops future renewals. It doesn’t refund the current period, but you keep access until that period ends.
- Billing mistakes: if you think you’ve been charged in error, for example charged twice, contact us. We’ll fix any genuine error.
- Our cancellations: if we close your paid account for reasons other than your breach of these terms, or stop offering the service, we’ll refund the unused part of your current billing period.
8. UK and EU consumers
If you’re a consumer in the United Kingdom or the European Union, nothing in these terms affects the statutory rights you have under the law of the country where you live.
In particular, if Nyxlet’s digital content or services are faulty or not as described, you’re entitled to remedies such as a repair, a replacement, a price reduction or a refund (for example under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015). Laws that give you more protection than these terms still apply.
For the 14-day right to cancel, when you subscribe you expressly ask us to start supplying the service immediately. You also acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel once supply has begun. If that acknowledgement isn’t effective under your local law, you may cancel within 14 days of subscribing by emailing us. We may deduct an amount proportionate to the service you used before you cancelled.
9. Share links and invitations
- Share links are public: anyone with a share link can see the content you chose to share. Only share what you’re comfortable making public. You can ask us to remove a share link at any time.
- Invitation reward: when someone new signs up through your share link, you each get one free reading.
- Each new account, device and network can only claim the reward once.
- A sharer can earn at most 20 rewards in any 30 days.
- Free readings have no cash value and can’t be transferred.
- Abuse: we may withhold or remove rewards that we reasonably believe were obtained by abuse, such as creating multiple accounts.
10. Acceptable use
Nyxlet creates text readings only. It does not generate images, video or audio, and it does not create images or likenesses of real people.
You agree not to:
- use Nyxlet to request, create or share sexual, pornographic or sexually explicit content, intimate content, or any content about a real person without their consent. This includes content that sexualises a real person, depicts them in an intimate setting, or is meant to humiliate, harass or exploit them. Content involving minors in any sexual context is strictly prohibited;
- use Nyxlet for anything unlawful, harmful, harassing or abusive, or to create content that is;
- enter another person’s details without their knowledge, or use readings to harass, pressure or make decisions about someone else;
- try to get around usage limits, payment, or the invitation rules, for example by creating multiple accounts;
- scrape, copy or resell the service or its content, or access it by automated means other than ordinary browser use;
- try to break, overload or probe the security of the service. This includes trying to extract its instructions, configuration or keys;
- use Nyxlet’s output to build or train a competing product.
In particular, you must never use Nyxlet to create, request, describe or distribute non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII) of any real person, whether real, edited or AI-generated, or any other content that is illegal where you or the person concerned live, including sexual content involving minors, harassment, defamation or content that infringes someone’s privacy or intellectual property. Nyxlet does not generate images of real people and does not create any intimate or sexual imagery.
Nyxlet is designed to refuse requests like these. We may suspend or restrict your access if we reasonably believe you’ve broken these rules, and we will report content involving the sexual exploitation of children to the relevant authorities.
11. Your content and ours
- Your content: you keep any rights you have in the questions and messages you send. You give us permission to store and process them as needed to run Nyxlet for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. This includes sending them to our AI provider to write replies.
- Your readings: you may use the readings and share cards created for you for personal, non-commercial purposes, including posting them on social media.
- Our content: everything else on Nyxlet belongs to us or our licensors, including the Nyxlet name, the characters, card artwork, design and software. You may not copy or reuse it except as these terms allow.
12. Changes to the service and these terms
We’re always improving Nyxlet, so features may change, be added or be removed. We may also update these terms, for example to reflect changes in the law or in the service. If a change significantly affects you, we’ll tell you in advance on the site or by email. If you have a subscription and don’t accept the change, you can cancel before it takes effect.
13. Disclaimers and liability
- Availability: to the extent the law allows, Nyxlet is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don’t promise that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for any particular purpose.
- Decisions: because readings are for entertainment only (see section 2), we’re not responsible for decisions you make based on them.
- Limits: to the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, business or data. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$50.
- What we don’t exclude: nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that can’t be limited or excluded by law. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, and any rights you have under consumer protection laws, including those described in section 8.
14. Ending these terms
You can stop using Nyxlet at any time. To close your account and delete your data, email us; see the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
15. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
This doesn’t take away any protection given to you by the mandatory consumer laws of the place where you live, or your right to bring a claim in your local courts where those laws allow it.
If you have a problem, please contact us first at contact@zolynexstudio.com and we’ll do our best to sort it out.
